JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – 1-FIND SERVICES, a Johnson City-based web design, SEO, and digital marketing agency, has acquired Viking Mountain Marketing, bringing together two independent web design businesses serving Northeast Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and the surrounding region.

Viking Mountain Marketing was built over more than 20 years by founder Erik Haagensen, who served small businesses across Greeneville, the Tri-Cities, Asheville, and neighboring communities, growing the company mainly through referrals and long-term client relationships.

 

Finding the right company to continue serving those clients was a central concern as Haagensen considered the future of the business.

 

“After 20 years flying solo, it was important to me to find someone who’d actually take care of the people I’ve worked with, not just take over accounts,” said Haagensen. “Casey and I use the same tech stack and think about design the same way, and it was clear early on he’s thoughtful and methodical about how he treats clients. That mattered more to me than anything else.”

 

Under the acquisition, Viking Mountain Marketing clients will be supported by 1-FIND SERVICES, led by owner Casey Carmical. Existing client websites and services will continue to be maintained, and clients now have access to a broader range of digital marketing capabilities, including search engine optimization, Google Business Profile management, paid advertising, reputation management, CRM automation, and website development.

 

“For me, this acquisition is really about continuity,” said Carmical. “Erik spent two decades building relationships with local businesses, and I want those clients to feel like they’re still working with a local company that knows their market and takes their business seriously. At the same time, they now have access to services that go beyond traditional web design when they need them.”

 

The acquisition also expands 1-FIND SERVICES’ presence outside its Johnson City base. Viking Mountain Marketing built a substantial client footprint in Greeneville and surrounding markets, while 1-FIND already serves businesses throughout Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, and other communities across the Tri-Cities.

 

Both companies have focused primarily on small and locally owned businesses rather than large corporate accounts, something Carmical said made the transition a natural fit.

 

“There are plenty of large agencies that can build a website,” Carmical said. “What small-business owners want is someone who knows who they are, understands what they’re trying to accomplish, and is still there after the website launches. That’s the kind of business Erik built, and it’s the kind of agency we intend to keep building.”
