Integration connects point-of-care clinical documentation with Sansio HealthEMS to reduce duplicate data entry and improve completeness of patient care records
BLOOMINGTON, MN, UNITED STATES, August 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — OneDose, an EMS clinical decision-support and documentation platform, now integrates with Sansio HealthEMS, connecting point-of-care clinical documentation with the electronic patient care report (ePCR) workflow.
The integration enables clinical information documented in OneDose during patient care to flow directly into Sansio HealthEMS’ MobileTouch EMS platform as structured, NEMSIS-formatted data. The connection is designed to reduce duplicate documentation while helping ensure that patient care records more accurately reflect clinical decisions and interventions made in the field.
Connecting Two Critical Parts of the EMS Workflow
OneDose supports EMS clinicians with protocol guidance, medication dosing support, weight-based dosing calculations and point-of-care documentation. Sansio HealthEMS serves as a system of record for patient care reporting, billing, medical necessity scoring and quality assurance/quality improvement (QA/QI).
Without an integration between the platforms, information documented during patient care may need to be entered again when completing the ePCR. This duplicate process can introduce opportunities for documentation discrepancies and requires additional time after a call.
With the new integration, information captured in OneDose at the point of care can be transferred directly into the patient care record within Sansio HealthEMS.
Information Transferred Through the Integration
The OneDose-Sansio HealthEMS integration can transfer clinical information including:
• Patient weight and weight-based dosing calculations
• Medications administered and associated dosing details
• Treatment interventions performed
• Timestamps associated with key events during patient care
The information is captured during the clinical workflow rather than reconstructed later from memory, notes or other sources.
For EMS clinicians, the integration is designed to reduce duplicate documentation following a patient encounter. For EMS administrators, medical directors and QA/QI teams, the connection provides a more complete and timely flow of clinical information into the patient care record.
The integration also supports agencies using Sansio HealthEMS tools for medical necessity scoring and QA/QI by providing clinical information captured during the point-of-care workflow.
Supporting a More Connected EMS Documentation Workflow
OneDose supports protocol-driven clinical decision-making and point-of-care documentation, while Sansio HealthEMS remains the agency’s system of record for patient care reporting, billing and QA/QI.
Connecting the platforms allows clinical information documented in OneDose to move directly into Sansio’s MobileTouch EMS platform. The result is a more connected workflow designed to reduce duplicate data entry and help ensure that the patient care record reflects care delivered in the field.
Availability
The OneDose-Sansio HealthEMS integration is available to agencies using both platforms. Agencies interested in activating the integration can contact their respective OneDose or Sansio HealthEMS support team.
