İSTANBUL, KADıKöY, TURKEY, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Poly Entertainment announces Shallow Water, a 2026 Turkish independent psychological thriller that explores perception, isolation, and the increasingly fragile boundary between reality and imagination.
Directed and produced as an independent film project, Shallow Water follows a young woman whose perception of reality becomes increasingly disconnected from the world around her. As her inner world begins to take on a greater presence, the film examines how memory, perception, and imagination can reshape a person’s understanding of what is real.
Rather than relying solely on conventional thriller elements, Shallow Water approaches psychological tension through atmosphere, character perspective, and ambiguity. The film invites viewers to experience events through an increasingly uncertain point of view, leaving room for interpretation while maintaining its dramatic core.
The film was produced in Turkey and is presented under the international title Shallow Water, with the original Turkish title Sığ Su. The festival version has a runtime of 49 minutes. A longer 60-minute edition, titled Shallow Water – The Complete Edition (Sığ Su – Tam Versiyon), is also available as an extended presentation of the film.
