Viome Life Sciences, Inc., the U.S. precision health company known for its diagnostic testing and personalized nutrition recommendations, and Ezaki Glico Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of mRNA HEALTH TRACKER®, Japan’s first personalized health service built on gut bacteria mRNA analysis.

Founded in 1922 on founder Riichi Ezaki’s conviction to “contribute to improving the physical wellbeing of the nation through food,” Ezaki Glico has spent more than a century turning nutrition science into products Japanese households trust, a mission the company carries forward today as “Healthy Days, Fulfilling Lives.” That legacy, paired with Viome’s RNA-based analysis and AI platform, is the foundation of mRNA HEALTH TRACKER®.

“For decades, people have been told to eat ‘healthy’ food without anyone asking what that actually means for their body. Ezaki Glico has spent a century earning the trust of Japanese households by taking nutrition seriously. Now, we’re combining that trust with the science to show each person what truly suits them. This is what it looks like when precision health intelligence meets a partner who already understands food as medicine,” said Naveen Jain, founder & CEO of Viome.

How the mRNA HEALTH TRACKER® Works

The service uses Viome’s gut bacteria mRNA testing kits to collect microbiome data to reveal how a person’s gut is actually functioning (not just which bacteria are present, but how active they are), translating the results into 26 personalized health scores and food recommendations. Glico’s personal advisors then guide each customer toward foods, meal sets, and supplements suited to their biology in a personal consultation, supporting healthier habits over time.

The platform is designed to improve with longer-term use, improving the accuracy of the model and refining health scores in aggregate, as customers act on their recommendations and return for retesting.

A Partnership Model for Precision Health

The Glico partnership marks the first international application of Viome’s partnership model, which is designed to pair Viome’s precision health intelligence platform with established companies that have complementary capabilities and trusted relationships with consumers.

Under this model, Viome provides the technology and infrastructure behind the personalized health experience, testing kit logistics, RNA analysis, and proprietary AI models. Partners bring their own strengths, such as product formulation, distribution, and additional consumer guidance. Together, the companies can translate individual biological data into actionable products and services that improve public health on the personal level.

The Glico partnership demonstrates how Viome’s platform can be adapted to local markets while maintaining its underlying technology and intelligence layer. As more individuals test, act on recommendations, and retest, the resulting data helps refine Viome’s models to improve the precision of the technology, a dynamic Viome expects to compound as it brings the same partnership approach to additional partners in new markets and categories.

Scaling Viome’s Global Footprint

The Japan launch adds to Viome’s expanding international footprint, as demand grows worldwide for personalized, science-based approaches to nutrition and gut health. Glico plans to roll out this service to 50,000 customers by 2030, focusing on test distribution and data collection for health-conscious customer cohorts this year.

For Viome, Glico’s roadmap will serve as a template for how the company brings precision health intelligence to new partners and markets around the world. To learn more about Viome’s partnership model, visit Viome.com or email businesspartners@viome.com.
