Free webinar explains lab results, distinguishes autoimmune disease from fibromyalgia, and explores Pain Reprocessing Therapy
BEVERLY HILLS, CA, UNITED STATES, August 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Pain Reprocessing Therapy Center will host a free educational webinar, “Fibromyalgia Through a Rheumatologist’s Lens,” on Thursday, August 27, from 1 to 2 PM EST. The session features Dr. Martina Ziegenbein, a board-certified rheumatologist trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy.
Many people living with fibromyalgia carry the same lingering questions: What if this is actually an autoimmune disease? What do my lab results really mean? Could something have been missed? These questions don’t just sit in the background; they make it difficult to fully embrace a neuroplastic approach to recovery. Caregivers often carry the same doubts on behalf of someone they love, and clinicians are frequently the ones fielding these questions from patients without always having a clear framework to answer them.
In this interactive webinar, Dr. Ziegenbein will explain how rheumatologists evaluate chronic pain, distinguish inflammatory disease from fibromyalgia, and interpret common lab tests, including ANA, ESR, CRP, RF, and CCP. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of when symptoms suggest autoimmune disease, when they do not, and why that distinction matters for recovery. The session includes a 30-minute presentation followed by a 30-minute live Q&A.
“Fibromyalgia is one of the most common and most misunderstood diagnoses among the people who come to us,” said Paulina Soble, LCSW, founder of the Pain Reprocessing Therapy Center. “It is a descriptive diagnosis, meaning it describes a pattern of symptoms without explaining why those symptoms are occurring. This can leave people feeling confused, anxious, and uncertain about what the diagnosis means for their future. Fortunately, Pain Reprocessing Therapy can help people make sense of their symptoms and work toward meaningful recovery, rather than only managing lifelong pain.”
The webinar is open to anyone with questions about fibromyalgia, rheumatology, or the science of chronic pain, including patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. Register here to attend and submit your questions in advance. Those unable to attend live can still register to receive a recording afterward.
This webinar is for educational purposes only and does not provide individual medical advice or establish a physician-patient relationship.
The webinar takes place Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 1 to 2 PM EST.
